Economics Faculty 1-year position
The Department of Economics invites applications for a one-year, full-time sabbatical replacement beginning Fall 2012. We are looking for candidates with teaching experience in principles, plus some field of specialization, and especially interested in candidates who can teach macroeconomics and/or international economics. Candidates are expected to have high and proven aptitude and strong interest in teaching and are willing to participate fully in a liberal arts environment that emphasizes close student-faculty interaction. The normal teaching load is two courses each quarter, with three quarters per year. Ph.D. is preferred, but advanced ABDs considered. Candidates must mail a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, undergraduate and graduate transcripts (unofficial acceptable), plus three letters of recommendation to Professor Ahmed Hussen, Chair, Department of Economics and Business, Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, MI, 49006. . Business Faculty position
Kalamazoo College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Business, with preferred areas of research and teaching in marketing and/or management. Curricular contributions will include both principles and upper-level courses in marketing, management, and preferably a course in business research methods. Moreover the candidate should exhibit flexibility and capacity for shaping introductory through advanced courses around the candidate's areas of specialization, including courses that would serve the College's Shared Passages (first year, sophomore, and senior) Seminar program.
