Thanks to everyone who is contributing to this week's Professional Development Institute. This program, which started in our department as the "Business Bootcamp," is growing every year.

The alumni office has organized a lot of campus events and, of course, sports.

Welcome (& welcome back) to Kalamazoo College

We're excited to begin a new academic year. Congratulations go to Tim Moffit as our new department chair. (And thanks go to Patrik Hultberg for his service as chair.) Yang Li will be on leave this Fall working on research projects in China. We're pleased that Mike Ricco is returning to continue his popular marketing classes and to offer new courses in management.

I hope everyone had a great summer!

Economics and Business Department Event

Majors, minors, and any students interested in economics and business are invited to a department get-together on Wednesday April 28 at 4 pm in Dewing 305. Come meet the faculty and your fellow students. Refreshments provided.

Careers in Sport Business

On Monday April 19,7PM, Dewing 103 the CCPD will host a panel discussion featuring alumni and other sports business professionals. For information on the speakers see the press release on Sports Business or the CCPD Careers in Sports Business announcement.

Our department is one of the co-sponsors of this event and I expect it will be of great interest to many students.

The talk will be followed by a dessert reception.
